Hi there! Just wanted to let you know the results of the Turbosquid "Lost at sea" challenge...
The first place for the realtime category was made entirely with Blender and rendered in Unity.
Its one of my first attempts of making a "clean" all quads model. There are some texturing and unwraping misstakes but luckily the Judges didn't mind :)
Thanks a lot to Blendernation and all you guys makeing great tutorials!! And of course Blender!
Congratulations Tobias!

Congrats! And nice work. Very illustrative.
Thanx :) Happy you like it!
Congratulations! TurboSquid has hundreds of artists! It's not easy to win a competition there.
Thanks! I dont think that too many of those artists Joined the competition... i didnt expect to even stand a chance... just wanted to emprove my Blender skills with this one :)
So i was very surpriesed when i got the news (i thought it was a scam at first ;) )
The best artists participate, for sure. And a few (like you) that think: "what I have to loose?" So, you make a better art than the bests!
Now im blushing! ;) but THANK YOU (again)
Excellent work looks amazing. Did you do you start by sculpting base mesh and retopologies or did you just box model from the start?
Hi Gabbitt. Thanx for the compliment. The main Character was sculptet using all kinds of shapes and got realy messy. So i had to retopologiese it. the rest was made out of easy shapes like a box or a curve.
