  1. (not related to the news) I dont want to be rude, so i'm sorry if sounds like this, but if I can give you a little feedback, I think this Twitch video that automatic start playing every time you reload the page is a little annoying, would be better just a static image to the respective channel.

    • Haha yeah I was waiting for the first comment about that! I like to experiment, and was wondering if people liked this content. It's an amazing way to give Blender Twitch streamers a crazy audience boost, but if it's too annoying I'll definitely change it. How about an option to switch back to the static thumbnail, with the default being the full video?

      • Video content should not auto-play at all; especially so when it is an advertisement.

I get the gesture behind it, but it's an annoying UX pattern that annoys across all websites.

The default should be the static thumbnail or not auto-play at all.

      • I have to agree. Having a video autoplay by default when EVERY user logs in is a bad idea. Most users wont want to sign up for an account just to opt out of the video automatically playing. At best the streamer gets a higher view count for the two minutes it takes to read the article, and at worse it forces the user to start blocking embedded videos on this site. You should also consider performance. Maybe the user's machine is 12 years or maybe they have a lot of programs running at once. Overall the hit to user experience isn't worth it. A thumbnail is enough to get people to view the stream.

  2. All very interesting and cool to see Blender being used for stuff other than just images, but what's the point of a vehicle such as this?

Where could you drive it AND keep your license?

Just a status symbol for someone with more money than brains.

Likely has an enormous carbon footprint too.
