Add-on: Turnaround Camera

Antonioya shares an add-on to quickly set up a turntable animation.

The add-on does the following tasks:

  • Create empty
  • Parent empty to object
  • Parent camera to empty
  • Change interpolation to linear
  • Create keyframes for rotation

If you select “Dolly zoom” then a focal length animation is added to the camera too.

Note: If you don’t apply the rotation before adding turnaround, the rotation axis cannot be the expected rotation axis.
