Blender is a fantastic modeling and animation tool. So impressive and flexible that it has been used in the most varied means, among them the one of human health.
Thinking about making access to this software wider, I am developing a new addon in partnership with Dr. Everton da Rosa, renowned specialist in maxillofacial surgery.
The objective of this work is to allow the use of Blender in orthognathic surgery planning, a procedure that corrects facial deformities in adults.
In addition to grouping several commands into a compact list, which assists the expert in the planning stages, the addon also automates some tasks, such as deformation of the skin in relation to the movement of the sectioned bones (osteotomies).
Soon, like Cork on Blender, our project will be openly available.
For now we will present a preview of what is coming.
We hope you enjoy it.

You guys make feel that using Blender for artistic purposes is something insignificant :)
Give it a medical purpose to help people is great. Keep it up, thanks.

I´d like to ask you when is the ortogonblender gonna be ready, or if it is already, how can I download it?
Thanks a lot.
