Impressive, but I’ll wait for 2.8x. Hope adaptive subsurf will be one of the supported features then.
Having tried out the Shadowcatcher it seems extremely rudimentary. It wont be useful for serious work.
For those of us without pro-level eyes or expertise, some information on why not would be helpful.
I have tested the new denoiser and it’s so cool, works perfectly!!! Thanks so much to the team for this great feature!
While I love denoiser and all 2.79 seems a bit unresponsive in the 3D viewport, especially for heavy-ish scenes. 2.78 felt a tad quicker (ex. when hitting zero to move to camera it chunks a bit) Hope Blender won’t lose it’s snappyness over viewport eye candy.
