Necropolis : Short film with Blender VFX (Crowdfunding)

1

JG Loquet is in the last days of the crowdfunding campaign for a short live action film that uses Blender for its VFX.

Hi !

I'm a freelance Blender artist, some of you might already have heard of me for my previous 3D animation corporate films ..

This summer I'm directing my first live action fiction short film, but it will feature 3D VFX created with Blender of course ;)

The synopsis : Jessie is a dynamic and impulsive young woman, easily carried away. She's looking for opportunities to put her talent to action. As a new, unexperienced archaeologist , she starts to work on a middle ages necropolis site with older, very experienced colleagues. When a new tomb is found, deemed uninteresting by the older archaeologists, it is entrusted to the beginner. Jessie will put all her energy into this task, but what she will find in there will rush her into a series of unexpected and dangerous events ...

3D VFX will be needed to add the bits that were hard to film in live action : more skeletons, a spider, a respirator for the hospital scenes, and some minor masking/replacing. All VFX will be created using our favorite 3D software : Blender.

I gathered a great team of technicians and actors (all volunteering) and all the gear was lent to us free of charge, but we need your help to fund the incompressible expenses of the shooting (food, shelter, transportation and accessories) and thus started a crowdfunding campaign.

There are only 4 days remaining to reach the goal !

Every contribution (even very small) counts and will be very welcome :)

If you want to see the movie or help us, you can contribute on the Ulule secure platform, in exchange of great rewards (like the .blend files of the project), and/or talk about the project to your contacts ... we're counting on the awesome Blender community to help us fund this fun project !

Many thanks for your help !

JG.
