Sketchfab Sculpting Challenge: Aliens

1

I just launched a new sculpting challenge over on Sketchfab.

We’re going into outer space this month! (Or, well, maybe they’re already among us) For our new sculpting challenge, we’re exploring alien life. Are they really all that scary looking? What does an alien goofball look like, or an alien doing a boring job? (Personally, I’d love to know where all those cows go!)

TL;DR: Sculpt an alien using your favourite sculpting tool, upload it to Sketchfab and tag it with #AlienChallenge2017.

Prizes include a Wacom Intuos tablet.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

We figure any sculpting artist could use a nice tablet to work with, so we’re giving away a Wacom Intuos Draw Tablet (or similarly priced product from Amazon).

Wouldn't most people joining a sculpting competition already have a tablet of some sort?

Unless someone's out there sculpting with a mouse, and, in that case, they deserve the prize, just on the feat alone! lol

But it's good that the prize also extends to "or similarly priced product from Amazon."
