Super Awesome!
You are very generous Sir!
Thank you so much! :)
That is great!
This addon super AWESOME! U genius! How I can donate to u?
seem quite a BIM! super!
Everything in life should be parametric. Even squeezing toothpaste onto the toothbrush in the morning.
Thanks for sharing! is it possible to create your own asset to add as doors and windows?
Hi,
Yes, create and edit parameters to make your own window/door, save the preset and you're done.
Note those objects are parametric, with many options to handle most of common use cases.
The preset system is by no mean an "asset manager" but loading/saving presets.
Thanks for the answer!... I am not sure I understand still thou. Can I save a preset of the options given with the addon, or can I create my own models from scratch to be added as a window or a door? Sorry I still didn't have time to try the addon, so I might be missing something.
To let you understand better, I often have to create Greek and Roman age models, so I would need a pretty peculiar set of assets which I believe to be quite hard to achieve with the parameters of the default objects I see in the video.
Should be default addon in Blender official releases.
Hi Arval,
Great news, archipack is now an official addon and will be released with blender 2.79 !
HOLY COW I've needed this forever... Thank you
Can we use custom doors windows fence stairs etc. If yes then how?
Hi Atek,
You may create your own presets for objects.
Stair and fences does support user defined posts and subs.
Other objects currently dosent have any support for custom mesh.
I may implement a way using vertex groups for doors and windows.
Objects parameters should fullfill most common cases, so i'm curious to know what are your needs ?
Thanks for replying. As replied above stair and fences support may i know how it works. How can i add and make use of it. Any tutorial or link how it works. And If the stair and fences of custom can be add why not the doors and windows.
Current documentation is here:
https://github.com/s-leger/archipack/wiki
For fence and stairs user defined posts, at bottom of "post" and "subs" panels you'll find a user defined object selection (empty text area with a box on the left)
Handling custom window and doors with "holes" for boolean while being able to change object sizes without deformations will require a lot of work and could be part of a future release.
The preset system currently is ment to store parameters, it's not an asset system loading geometry from files.
