I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Hi,

    Can someone redirect Me to information's about new rigify systems? For animals, quadrupeds, etc. It already is in trunk, but I don't find any info about.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers!

  2. Excellent progress; BUT;
    this kind of presentations should be used to thank the supporters of 3d blender like AMD, in my opinion, here Apple is getting free promotion and AMD not, AMD has done a lot more for 3d blender than Apple, what Apple have done for 3d blender?... use your demos the most appropriate way.

      It's a demonstration. Not a product endorsement.

      They probably just grabbed an iPhone 3D model somewhere, because it makes for a shiny gadget to show off the real-time features of EEVEE.

      Probably just trying to imitate a showy Apple ad (something we've all seen a million times), just as a way to show the production-level potential of EEVEE.

  3. Chill, MAR10. That video wasn't done by anyone officially associated with Blender, as far as I know, but by someone just testing out the new engine, in this case looking to see how it does with product viz. And, posting it here is more like "Hey! Someone made a a cool thing with our engine! Look what's possible!" It doesn't constitute any sort of endorsement one way or another.

    You're not fooling anyone. That's just footage of a real phone. ;)

    Keep up the good work, EEVEE development crew.
