An amazing render by Brandon Ruffin on Reddit. The technical skill, composition, and story are outstanding! This artwork definitely deserves more recognition.
Would you guys like a quick step to step on this render? I can ask Brandon if you do :). Yay or nay in the comment section below :)!

Wow!!!! So beautiful... I am trying to make snow shader for a long time :) are you thinking of making tutorial about yours. Btw. a little bit offtopic. I am a big fan of your daily tips :)
Thanks DAAN. Btw, I sense a misunderstanding. As much as i'd like to take credit for this awesome render, this artwork is by Brandon, i just wrote the article :).
Yeah, I'd like a quick rundown of this one. :) Nice render. Snow is a difficult one, and yours look nice.
There's something Polish about it, like the 1863. Great job that!
needs some fog
Absolutely gorgeous render.
YAY!
Yay :)
Really nice work!!
Yay! Beautiful render. Amazing story telling.
Ray! ;-p
Once again, this is taged as "3D news" and not "Image". ^^'
Wow ! I love this ray of light on the snow, it seams the sun has just risen
Great work! I'm always interested in seeing workflow info. It's nice to see how other people work. (YES - for a step-by-step or video tut.) Thanks!
Hi there guys!
My names Brandon Ruffin, the creator of this image. Thank you so much for the comments, I really appreciate it! I sent in my steps to be posted later on. I'm not sure when, but I'm hoping it will give you guys some insight on how I came up with this result. I do have a video up showing everything in wired frame mode, if you're interested.

Thank you so much :D
Oh, you're welcome man! Hope it helps a bit!
Really great image! Amazing work!
Great image indeed.
I think having "by Yanal Sosak" right on the image is misleading. I would expect "by Creator Name" and maybe change "About Author" section to be "About Poster" to better differentiate between poster and creator. Nomsayin'?
Thanks Yanal. Haven't watched your cool daily tips in a LONG time but I plan on resuming soon!
Toodles.
Good point JOOLS. I Actually didn't enter my name there, i think it is automatic, it enters the authors name, as in "article written by". I'll have to check or ask Bart if i can modify that to the artists name :)
Hmm no, it will always be the name of the artist of the article. I think the post makes it clear who made the image?
Yeah, I was actually thinking the same thing. But, I only just made an account here, so at the time, he had no choice.
I love that "nomsayin?"
