I find this tutorial actually much better. This other guy states makes the mesh smaller than the wrist is a better approach. He also uses other addon for excellent detail adding

Other major tip, using those input fields which has the pipet. Press E to quickly switch to the pipet so you can pick your object in the 3d viewport. Fastest and best to pick object some times.
