Edit #1 27/03: The video has been set to private by the user, i am currently checking out if he can get it back for us, i apologize for the inconvenience.
Edit #2 27/03: The issue is resolved, video is up again :) This version is shorter than the last one, Daniel removed unnecessary footage.
This is a pretty cool technique to learn, it allows you to take a stale 2d image to an interactive 3d scene. You can end up getting that cool Parallax Effect, which makes you part of the cool kids (inserts emoticon with sunshades).
Daniel Ayala takes us through the process, using paint.net to separate the character from the background. Blender is then used to integrate the images and create a camera, which is then animated for the parallax effect.
What do you guys think of this effect, do you think it looks better than the still image? Leave a comment below :)!

isn't the video showing paint.net, not photoshop...? I think that the initial image preparation is doable with several image editors.
Indeed, well spotted. I updated it, thanks :)
Hey Yanal, you should of marked the title of this post "[non-Blender]"
How come? It is Blender. "edit": Since the video is currently down i can't double check.
Why did I get a private video when I tried to watch it?
Not sure yet, i sent Daniel a message to see if he can get it up for us :)
The video is no longer available on YouTube. Is there a mirror?
Nope sadly, hopefully it will come up, i sent a mail.
Video is up again guys!
Good job!
