World Blender Meetup Day (WBMD) is next Saturday, March 18th!
Join Blender user groups around the globe for a single calendar day of online Blender CGI/VFX/Game/Dev presentations. The event is absolutely free, just like our favorite software. Our event follows the sun from Australia, Africa, Europe and the United States.
You can catch sessions on modeling, 3D scanning, re-topology, rigging, character animation, visual effects, compositing, rendering, tools, virtual reality, education and more. This year we’re streaming sessions from Studio 229, Barnstorm Visual Effects, PIXAR, LinkedIn/Lynda, Blendtuts, CGCookie, Theory Studios, Crowdrender and various Blender subject matter experts.

More details for the truly curious: WBMD is a hybrid physical/online organized by Blender User Groups who meet in person regularly in various cities around the world. We realized that much of our presentation content was spread around the internet and not always recorded. WBMD provides the opportunity to connect with each other and give back to the Blender community with a lasting archive of great Blender presentation content. This year it’s easier than ever to join via our YouTube live stream or you can connect via our Zoom conferencing system for a high definition experience.

It starts at a rather reasonable time in Australia for the Melbourne Blender Society. :) Don't worry, all sessions are recorded for later posting so you don't need to watch straight through the night
