Blender and ZBrush for hardsurface models

  1. You can combine the parts with CTRL + J before exporting and use Polygroups and masks to manipulate and/or split the parts in zbrush.

    Another option would be to use GoB, a blender add-on to use the ZBrush´s GoZ with blender.

    • Than you can quickly take it back to Blender by hitting the GoZ button. And, of course there are the powerful Dynamesh, Decimation master and ZRemesher to help you with topology.

      For concept art, decimation master is a huge allie. If for some reason you must have a clean edge flow, ZRemesher and UVMaster are the tools to go.

      In that workflow you can easily create and export normal and displacement maps for use in blender.
