Krita 3.1.2 adds Audio Support

6

While Krita 3.1.2 was supposed to be a bugfix, the devs snuck in a few feature upgrades!

  • Ctrl key continue mode for Outline Selection tool: if you press ctrl while drawing an outline selection, the selection isn’t completed when you lift the stylus from the tablet. You can continue drawing the selection from an arbitrary point.
  • Allow deselection by clicking with a selection tool: you can now deselect with a single click with any selection tool.
  • Added a checkbox for enabling HiDPI to the settings dialog.
  • Remove the export to PDF functionality. It is having too many issues right now

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. It sure would be nice if they could speed it up on win 10... the most activating part of the program. But it is good to see more flexibility added.

  2. As much as I love Krita each new version seems to come with a new regression. I had a problem with 1)3.0.1.1 not toggling 'canvas only' properly where the canvas would go from maximized to fullscreen to small window with each press of the tab key, 2)3.1.1 didn't have the ability to go into fullscreen at all, and 3)3.1.2 seems to have a problem where if you use the eraser side of the pen and then flip back to the nib side it will stay on eraser forcing you to manually change the brush. Bug 1 is still around, bug 2 was fixed in 3.1.2 which then introduced bug 3. I love this program so I'm still using 3.0.1.1 but it could really use a little more love in the quality control and testing department.

    • that's strange. I have had no issues myself.. each version just seems to bring new goodies to play with..
I am using my own compiled version though... which distribution you are using?

anyways, I suggest you post these to krita bug tracker, there they can be reviewed by coders and actually be fixed...
