Hi! I’m a member of Celeste; an animation studio from La Plata, Argentina who uses Blender in all its productions. In 2016 we started to produce Belisario with The City of La Plata’s Planetarium and the Studio Cut To The Chase.
Belisario is the first animated series of Latin America produced in a full dome Format. And it’s done entirely in Blender!!
“Belisario, the little big hero of the cosmos” tells about the adventures of a little astronaut mouse, who travels through time to register his name in Argentina’s Astronautics history. Throughout his trips, he will witness the most relevant events and face unforeseen dangers that he will need to overcome to survive.
It was a great challenge both narrative and technically to made this 20 minutes long chapter in this huge format (4096 x 4096 px). But blender give us all the tools we needed. We already are going to look up for founds to continue the following chapters. Here there are two frames:
We are going to release the pilot in April The City of La Plata’s Planetarium and festivals and we want to share the project with the 3D and Blender community.
Here is a document with a lot more information about Belisario and its Facebook fanpage. Hope You like it!
