An indictment of the ambiguity of the monotheistic religious discourse and fanatical excesses which it is responsible.
Jean-Pierre Brachet presents his one-man short movie project. What do you think of the result?
After six years of self-taught training on Blender, this film is my first production of which I am quite satisfied. That is why I am submitting it to you.
"Sects" was performed using version 2.78a, with the internal render.

There is lots here to be very poud of. In particular, the discourse is very fair, poignient and leaves you with the question of which side you stand on. The eternal balance of faith and knowledge/reason is explored beautifully in this film. Well done, and thank you for sharing!
Thank you Russel. I am very sensitive to your appreciation.
Jean-Pierre.
Am I seeing an elephant in BN's room?
Definitely not, elephants really exist. This movie is all about fantasy.
Congratulations for your work !
The very subtle and detailed animation work serves well the discourse.
Did you went for BI instead of Cycles for render time reason ? Maybe some color grading, contrast, post-processing could bring a little more depth to the renders without adding too much render time.
Keep it up !
Thank you Victor for your pertinent remarks.
The choice of the internal corresponds actually to a render time-saving.
It is true that the dynamics is a little weak. This is less apparent on the original file, it was still compressed when put online. Can be straightened with a ColorManagement ....
I am not satisfied with the hair collisions (Short-range force field but not Lennard-Jones). On this issue, my options are maybe too ambitious.
Friendly,
Jean-Pierre.
