Creating a Looping Wave of Ribbons Animation

0

CG Cookie's Jeff Lange demonstrates a method of creating a wave of ribbons that can be used for many things, including motion graphics.

Jeff says:

We’ll start off by by creating a ribbon with a NURBs surface, which may be an object type you’ve never used before. I’ll show you how to animate the ribbon using a wave modifier. Making the animation loop perfectly is next on the list, and it makes for an interesting result that doesn’t take long to render.

Going a step further, I will demonstrate how to create a simple material and world nodes to make our render look nice and clean. The last thing we’ll talk about is how to render this animation and save it to a file.
