How to create Single Stroke Spiral Art

4

Jimmy Gunawan demonstrates how to achieve the 'Single Stroke Spiral Art' effect, where the thickness of the brush generates an image. Super interesting!

I was inspired by this "single stroke spiral art". Decided to do the same using my own image sampling technique using Blender Displace Modifier and Sverchok Add-On to generate the strokes on the fly:

You can make your own design using this setup.

  1. Yes you can indeed. The spiral points is only an example. In reality, you can just use grid or space filling algorithm points which will sample the weight from image. For space fillinf, Elfnor made this Script Node for Sverchok that will work perfectly.

  2. Thank you so much for using and promoting Sverchok and presentation of real power of parametric engine!
Your videos always interesting to watch!

  3. Thanks for your kind comment and encouragement. I am hoping that great addons like sverchok and animation nodes can really unlock Blender capabilities. More over eventhough my skills are basics and limited, slowly I am learning and sharing my knowledges, hoping that one day everyone could benefit. My hat kudos for AN and SV developers.
