Don’t know if you’ve run across the BLAM add on.
makes lining up a camera to a photo relatively easily.
I’ve used it a lot for stills – works great for most images.
I make a point of watching your tutorials – always clear and I always learn something.

I believe an official ‘shadow catcher’ material is in the development pipeline, which will make this much easier.
