25 new free Chocofur models under CC0 license

Hey everyone!

Another update from Chocofur. Today we've released 25 new free models and changed our licensing for all free products to CC0. It means you can copy, modify, distribute, even for commercial purposes all our freely available 3D models and scenes.

The CC0 license also applies to our free shaders and textures. So far there are 85 CC0 models and over 200 shaders we've decided to share with Blender community. Keep calm and use it with Blender :)

To browse the free files I recommend using this link. To download, please log in/register at chocofur.com and use the embedded file browser.

Happy Blending!

The download method should really be adjust ,ive already download some of there items. But it not clear what ive got. The names dont match with the preview pages. I dont see what i download???

That BOX method is just awkward, better use google drive or hotmail drive then

  2. Hey, I know the file sharing and browsing method is not perfect. Could you tell me which files do not match the previews?

As for the Google Drive, I'm not sure if it's allowed to use it for "mass" file sharing to be honest (maybe some lighter files like pdf's or documents but not larger zip archives).

  3. There is another problem with your site. Your site doesn't seem to record session info between various pages. Once I login it takes me to the home page. From there if i click store or any other links. It opens a new tab. The new tabs think I haven't logged in. So, i am just unable to download anything as the store page assumes I haven't logged in.

  4. Gabriel, this works a bit different. The store and main site are completely separate from each other. You should log in at chocofur.com and use the file browser from the account page. The store.chocofur.com site is the only to help you with previewing the products (free and commercial). You can also download the entire directories from the embedded file manager in your account page and check the models offline as each one of them includes rendered previews.

    • So, that means free stuff automatically get added to my account and the commercial products have to be bought at store.chocofur.com?

      • All free stuff is available from your account the moment you create it :) You can use the store page to view the models before downloading them. Purchasing non free models is processed separately to your account.

  5. I couldn't figure out how to download a single thing from your website. I only stumbled on it at the last minute when I was pretty much about to give up. It needs to be a lot clearer how you get access to the free files, I kept trying to do it from the store. It makes no sense to have a "free model viewer" on the store and not also have a link for downloading the free stuff.

I think the written instructions could be a lot clearer too- have someone else proofread or write them if you must.

The models are nice. But the annoyance factor of not knowing where to go on the page almost overshadows that.
