I'd like to cover some other open source graphics tools that I feel are useful/relevant for Blender users. Earlier today I wrote about MagicaVoxel, and jayanam presents an OpenToonz tutorial. What do you think? Would you like to see more like this?
This is a video tutorial about the free 2d drawing and animation tool OpenToonz for beginners. I explain the UI and some basic features and after that I create a simple animation using vector layers and keyframes.
For those of you not knowing OpenToonz: The Blender freehand curve drawing function for example is a port from this software:-)

What an ugly interface. Reminds me of Windows 95 days.
:-) Yes, interface is not the nicest one but as I said, as you got used to it you will see that the application is really powerful.
In all fairness, the original Toonz was developed during the Win 95 era (or 3.1). I can't fault the programmers who felt they didn't need to change all this time.

The occasional non-Blender is cool for me - evangelizing the the unique and cutting edge of 3D graphics is always a plus. Also, stepping out of the Blender-box every now and then couldn't hurt, it's already happened here-and-there with the various non-Blender articles, right? And the site is cooler because of it.
BUT, I don't know about getting regular non-Blender tutorials, from a poster who already gets 3-4 posts on their tutorials a week, on a regular basis. IMHO that's a little too much content pollution seeping in.
