Support BlenderNation on Patreon

4

As you may know, running BlenderNation takes up a significant amount of time each day (easily 1-2 hours!), and I need to make a little money to keep running it. There are several ways in which you can help, like allowing advertisements or buying through affiliate links (like Amazon), and making small donations (see all options here).

I have now added Patreon to the list of support options - you can use them to make regular donations and it's up to you to decide how much you want to 'pledge'. You can find us on https://www.patreon.com/BlenderNation.

The campaign doesn't have any hard 'goals' yet, but one of my near-future plans is to spend some of this money either on an intern or on an full-time editor. This would help boost the quality and number of articles that you can enjoy here.

With the arrival of Patreon I have removed PayPal donations. PayPal turned out to be too painful and expensive to work with. I'll reach out to all the current PayPal donators.

Thanks for your help!

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

    • Gut. My primary source for donations is my turbosquid account, so subscribings goes first, then local devs and artists.
As far as sales is a game of chance, it is pretty nice ability to invest sometimes more than patreon subscription.
      Thank you for your answer.
