If you happen to be using Illustrator and saving files as SVG a couple of helpful things...
Place whatever you are using centred at zero on both x and y axes and scale to 125%
I always work at real world sizes and this brings things in centred on the Blender grid and at the physical size you set it up at in Illustrator.
If you are using CC make sure you go into the details for SVG export and uncheck 'responsive' otherwise things can turn out a bit of a mess.
New to this and I am lost at import to blender. slow step by step please, that part made no sense to me how to get the image from inkscape into blender.
