Particle Instantiator will add a ton of options to particle system animations, including rigid body physics, modifiers, drivers and animation copying.
Blender’s particle system is known to be somewhat limited. While you can simulate large numbers of particles, animating individual particles can be difficult.
With the Particle Instantiator add-on, you can turn your particles into real objects. These objects follow the exact motion of the particles using keyframes and copy animations, constraints, modifiers, drivers and custom properties from their dupli objects. And the coolest feature is this: you can turn your particles into physics objects.

Well, this sure explains a lot! I was wondering why my add-on got so popular all of a sudden...
I'm happy to announce this post and the video link are outdated already, because I just released version 1.1 of the add-on. There are some new features, an improved UI and it is now compatible with my other add-ons.
Hi Tim , i am trying to reach you.
Bought your addon on blender market. But after installing it doesn't appear between addons.

I've been waiting for this functionality since Blender transitioned from 2.49b to 2.5.
Some of the features shown in the video were present in 2.49b
Cool and awesome!
