Purpose of the scene is demonstrate mostly progressive, nondestructive and nonlinear workflow. Most meshes are kept simple with only basic topology. Such simplicity equates to artistic freedom and flexibility allowing progressive refinement of artwork. The complex forms are derived from simple meshes thanks to Blenders Modifiers.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!).
