"Suzanne finally escapes from terrible years of user testing :-)" Says the Artist. This sure takes creepy to another whole new level, and i'm loving it!
Great little teaser with a nice touch on the animation and the little fly in the video. Link

Creepy indeed. Very nice find, Yanal!
Thanks Bart! Gave me the shivers :)!
I think that's the only time I have seen anyone make creative use of use Suzanne and yes making something unusual or creepy is about all you could hope to do with it (her). Even if she is of sentimental value to some she is more or less a useless item to include in Blender today IMO - aside from the dreaded 'default cube' that is. (Sorry old time Blenderheads.) Suzanne should be replaced with a refined and rigged Emo for Blender 2.8 I reckon ;) Much more inspiring for new users to ponder
A creature of nightmares for sure! I can't understand the purpose of the default cube... or why so many tutorials start off by deleting the default cube and/or camera. It's not like it makes Blender any easier for beginners, and surely anyone else has already re-saved the start-up file with the default cube removed?
I actually have a subsurfed sphere as my default, since I usually sculpt. Speaking about the default cube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePAy87ayRjs here is a video you might enjoy :)!
I see Suzanne as the mascot of blender, she is actually the teapot of 3dsMax. If i am not mistaken, Suzanne is meant to be used as a test object for quick shaders and such. Then you got the Suzanne awards so, I don't see the harm in keeping her really :)
It's not very hard to go on blendswap.com and download some rigged characters, if somebody wants to do such tests. Not everything should be included into the program.
This creature is NOTHING like a monkey, not to mention Suzanne. It's more like horror movies. And it's much too short, the beast should do something more.
Very nice!
nice textures, and materials, particle effects are amazing.
