I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

    OMG!

    This is very sad! :_ ( (

But thank you so much for pointing out Bart...

For me it's impossible to thank Campbell enough for his outstanding contributions. He is one of those developers able to change lives.

But anyway, thank you so much Campbell, again and again and again!!!

My favorite contributions for the Blender community (among many other) done by Campbell Barton are the "State Machine" for the Blender Game Engine, and the Grease pencil that allow us to draw by automatically following the surfaces if needed. ;)

Not to mention the fact that Campbell is always available to reply questions that are faaaar more simple compared to his amazing skills. This FACT is easily verifiable if you check his profile on BlenderArtists and StackExchange.

There is no person of greater generosity!

Even his grumpyness is adorable. :)

I wish you the best, Mr. Barton!
