Modeling a Hi-Res Katana in Blender - Part 1

This month I'm working on modeling a katana as part of my focus on the modeling portion of the 3d pipeline. In part one of today's live stream I go behind the scenes and explain the thought process and the planning that go into a hi-res modeling project. Starting with a breakdown of the concept art I then go into the strategy moving into Blender and block in all the base meshes for the katana in preparation for adding details in the next live stream.
