Large scale fluid particle simulation meshed with cubesurfer

Gottfried Hofmann writes:

Using the Cubesurfer addon by PyroEvil, any particle system can be meshed, i.e. an actual mesh surface can be added to it. That even works on really large scale simulations like the one shown here. The only downside: It eats RAM for breakfast ;)

  1. I wouldn't call it large scale. It's very small scale and blobby. large scale to me is jaegars splashing around in pacific rim. I'm still itching for that ability in blender!

  2. really not large scale. Also, absolutely not usefull - the real deal is to use fluids in actual shots, with environments e.t.c. so you can see if things actually look realistic. I hope MantaFlow integration will improve theses possibilities...

  3. I believe the term large scale is used because of the many objects in this scene. What you make of this yourself is up to you.

  4. There is a lack of OS X Support here. The last compiled versions are very old. Hopefully someone get into this.
