B3d101 offers Blender tutorials for kids

0

A new initiative offers an overview of educational resources for kids, parents and teachers as well as an overview of workshops for them. Very cool.

The Blender Network writes:

Having received numerous request from children, parents and teachers wanting to learn and teach Blender, Jeroen and Monique from At Mind took upon the task to create some fun and creative lessons for children. Together with other members of the Blender and Python community they started to gather, translate and create some tutorials.

Their work is available at b3d101, where you can see the trainers involved, a list of lessons and the upcoming events (in the Netherlands, Germany and the UK).

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
