The VisCircle studio strikes again with another great web-based 3D configurator!
European furniture brand Joli now provides easy and high-quality solution for their clients: you can choose the model, its dimensions, materials and colors. Interior designers would be happy, as there is a variety of options! And, of course, everything was made using Blender and Blend4Web.

And in English? :)
Translating what Andre Gama said:
I know that the VFX and 3D world is evolving a lot but this work is one of the most incredible things i've seen.
I'm saying this based on the infinite possibilities it can proportionate.
Congratulations!
Very good!
Thanks David
Muito obrigado / Thank you very much! :)
Actually this looks pretty bad and from a customer standpoint is not useful at all.
The quality of the work is low and doesn't represent a realistic look of the products. I wouldn't buy any of these products based of the configurator unless the product looks better in real life.
The screenshots here and on B4W are selectively picked, but if you enlarge them or see the configurator in action it leaves a lot to be desired.
It would have been better to just upload a bunch of high quality model permutations to sketchfab and make a web interface.
According to the studio folks, this app is just the first iteration. If you take a look at other configurators created by them (such as VW Polo or gold ring) you will notice exceptional quality that studio can produce with Blend4Web.
Regarding your suggestion to use sketchfab instead, that would really bad choice as the tool doesn't position itself as platform for creating rich Internet applications. Moreover, Blend4Web offers a fully open source pipeline and doesn't lock users to any websites - the power and freedom combined!
Funny you mention the VW Polo and Jewlery ones, which are both done in UNITY and use the unity web player not B4W.
Please dont lie to me/us.
But you are right, they do deliver exceptional quality, with Unity. :)
Uh, REALLY, man?
Ok here's a little guide how not to look awkward.
First, VW polo:
-go to their webpage. http://www.viscircle.de/?lang=en
-watch the VW polo demo.
-open your browser console.
-Ask yourself "Hmm, isn't it strange that Unity shows some b4w warnings?"
Ok, moving on! The ring is a bit more complicated, but I'm sure you can do it!
- the link: http://dein-glueckskind.brittasschmiede.de/en/konfigurator/
-open console
-go to "Network" tab
-find "JS" section
-look througs the list
-ask yourself "Since when Unity uses something like "b4w.min.js"?
The conclusion.
You can love sketchfab or unity or even flash. You can hate blend4web. But please be sure to CHECK before implying something you don't know. I'm not even saying that you are accusing other people. Please DON'T LIE.
But there is a BIT of truth in your words. They USED to work with Unity. They HAD unity demos. But now they use b4w. And you are looking at it. Aand you are right about exceptional quality ;) I even tried to reproduce their shaders' effects, but no luck. it really is something.
"Our Vehicle-3D-Configurator is usable in all Browsers after installing the Unity webplayer Plugins. All vehicle 3D configurators can be created as an App for iOS, Android or Windows Mobile and for MacOS, Windows or Linux
Download 3D-Vehicle-Configurator for Windows or try out directly in your Browser!
Please be aware that in order for the 3D-presentation in a browser to work, the Unity webplayer Plugin is required."

this info about the Unity webplayer is outdated, it's b4w now
Looks like it is really blend4web technology, if you mean Polo Configurator and jewelry both. Instead of Viscircle description, i've checked my browser console! And it is totally amazing! Really, no any plugins! So now i think it's a perfect solution for my upcomming web project! And quality! It shows, that it totally depends on professionals.
It was their first experiment with Unity, then they switched to Blend4Web because of no plugin technologies. And they just fortot to change discription. Now they make all their application using blender.
Sorry, I mean Blend4Web at the end.
Hi guys,
not entirely true - Sketchfab (and full disclosure: I work for Sketchfab ;-) has an extensive viewer API that can be used for such applications:
http://sketchfab.com/developers
In fact, a jewelry configurator based on the Sketchfab platform was just launched hours ago:

And you can find more examples here:

Just wanted to set the record straight ;-)
Looks like the guys have decided to try Blend4Web too...
