Hey guys!

Not long ago I launched The Journey (no, not artstation's competition :P!) and have been posting 2 characters a week!

I am studying anatomy and practicing making tons of characters while engaging the community to get feedback and eventually see if they are interested.

This is how i thought of "The Journey" a project where i will constantly challenge myself to do 2 characters a week, and share with the community. It is perfect because i get to practice, see my own evolution, get feedback from the community, learn what they like and what they don't, and see if this actually interests them!

It is basically The Journey i am taking to reach my goal.

Technical Part:

As I mentioned, I have to do 2 characters a week. I spent some time to set a default scene which has a certain type of lighting and materials set so i can easily apply them to any model. This allows me to focus more on the creation and sculpting part.

I limit myself to a few hours per sculpt, which is why some of my early sculpts consist of only the head or bust. As i get more practice, i am getting quicker at sculpting and hence we will see more completed characters.

Another thing is that every 10th character i allow myself to put more hours into the sculpt, to make it more special.

Currently i am working on #009,010,011 and Guru's competition so keep an eye out for the characters coming up!

You can see future characters WIP here.
