Box Cutter V0.11

Hello,

I am writing today about Box Cutter. The purpose in Version1 is simple. Cut boxes and shapes.

Hard Ops customers will of course receive a discount costing less than a real... box cutter.

BoxCutter was written by , Jaques Lucke and myself. AR being the project main. Box Cutter is a clean approach to a boolean based workflow and is using a system superior to Booltool and Hard Ops currently. While Hard Ops is still being developed this tool was intended to be a separate idea and development path than Hard Ops since it's more of a workflow tool / sharpener system not to mention code so heavy it's difficult to convince people to get involved.

In my personal opinion I find this tool to be the simplest possible way to create and work with simplicity. I hope all those who found Hard Ops difficult will attempt this approach since is aiming to make modelling even easier.

Currently we have support for custom shapes, circles and of course boxes.  We are already exploring options like snapping, repeat shapes, arrays, snapping and curves to name a few.

We made a ton of images showcasing various things we were testing:

We also are always looking for coders wanting to assist internally on our projects. It is paid work of course and is open to any python coders who also are into hard surface at least a little. Hard Ops has become great thanks to the assistance of endless mercs whos unique skills evolved it into a masterpiece.

The tool is reaching the professional industry in a serious way and it's thanks to all the operatives who participated and promoted this tool. We hope Box Cutter will be another tool to show the outsiders that ignoring Blender for the commercial inconvenience of dated workflows is a time wasting choice.

Also Hard Ops 0079 has been updated!

For Hops 8 we have some exciting things planned but the latest version offers pro-mode, lattice support, curve options, UV visualization and more! The 0079 release was a big one for me. I really wanted that UV visualization. Check out these examples:

And as always tons of robots for testing the releases.
