'Partial Overlay' allows you to look ahead in footage in the Video Sequence Editor - for example to easily match color grading between different shots. In this new Blender Cloud video by Pablo Vazquez you will learn how to use this somewhat hidden, but super useful feature. This video is free to access.
I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!).
