Pro Tip: Pose Breakdowner
I admit: this is the first time I’ve heard of the ‘Pose Breakdowner’ tool, or even of that term at all. Discover this mysterious animator’s tool in this Lollypopman quick tip :)
What is it? some might wonder… well first of is a tool only for animators, actually its so “only for animators” that you can only make use of it in pose mode, I wish we could take advantage of it in object mode for animated objects, but for the most part, it’s pose mode where you’ll use it.
I actually found this one by accident last week.
Not to toot my own horn, but since it’s related I thought I’d share the link to a similar addon I worked on that lets you do breakdown mix poses using library poses and copied poses into any timeline location.

Obvious drawback being this is a third party addon and not built-in with blender by default :)
Oh man!, finally, that should be a built in function of the pose library!
