Anatomy of a Book Cover

1

Jefferson Smith used Blender to design a book cover and discussed the design process.

I don't often see Blender discussed as a tool for book cover design, so after doing a one recently that presented some serious design challenges, I thought it would be fun to talk about the process. About having to serve half a dozen different design goals. And about how Blender and Cycles made it all possible.

  1. That's so cool. I love the worlds in the jewels, lets the imagination wonder and expand possibilities. I used blender for a book cover, but the publisher had its own in house style, so I was only allowed something on the back. It's called Hoddu: stories. But nothing like this immersive image.
