I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Hi Guys, I have looked far and wide for an answer for this question. Is there any planed development for Opencl and AMD GPU's? Or has it been left to the guys at AMD? I am just about to buy a new GPU and really like the 8GB memory on R9 390x but don't like its limitations rendering certain materials.

Should I buy the 980ti instead and live with 6GB memory?
