I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

waou, love plastic and glass shader, lighting's neat too !
I think my favorite part (apart from the concept) would be the porcelain shader <3
I just had my first cup of coffee, sat down to prepare some stories for BlenderNation today, and now it's off to work. What are your plans for today?
The CG part is great but the design of the coffee cups has one serious issue: If you try to drink your coffee it will very likely end up on your shirt because the liquid will flow over the whole edge of the cup, not only over the center like it does with rounded cup...
You'll drink it on the corner.
R2D2: You beat me to it! It is indeed a lovely render of a disastrous design.
actually I was at a restaurant recently where they actually serve coffee in square mugs. @EUGEN - is right you have to drink from the corner, and yes it is awkward.but lets be stylish or die right?
Right :D
You know your render is good, when the comments are all about the design of the subject. :)
Love it! Great concept, well executed.
Though it would have been funny if you made the sugar spheres.
Very cute. Only possible crit I could have is the sugar shader. Everything else is perfect :D
The sugar… oh, man… it's a tough one. I agree, the sugar still has room for improvement.
