Good work, and very nice to see that someone is using Darktable. I see that you use Darktable 1.4 . When you go to the Darktable website you got a tutorial how to get the current ppa to install the latest version of darktable 2.0

;) Install from http://www.darktable.org/install/ and the ppa Launchpad link of the site: for Darktable 2.0
use this lines in your terminal.

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pmjdebruijn/darktable-release
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install darktable

    hope it helps you;)

Hmm i think you can try it. Because my linux mint is based on ubuntu and ubuntu is based in debian so i think it could be possible. Try it and you will see if it works or not
