After four months of testing, Sketchfab has just released their Animation support. Animations need to be uploaded as FBX files for now, but support for Blender is coming up, stay tuned!
We’re proud to announce that all Sketchfab users can now publish their animations in interactive 3D, anywhere.
Since the beta launch in August, over 1,000 community members helped us test animation and we’ve been blown away by the animations they published. It was amazing to see how they’ve used it to give motion to characters, illustrate educational concepts or product features and tell stories.
We support different types of animations, such as skeleton-based animation (model rigged with bones), solid animation (translation, scale, rotation), and morph targets (great for animating faces). Each model can contain different animation tracks and loop modes, and users can switch between them while viewing your model.

Aw, sweet! When you pause the animation, and use your scroll wheel, it scrolls between the frames! Nice! Glad to finally see animation finalized and released in SketchFab!
