3

Here are the winners of the weekend challenge. I'm impressed by the quality that some of you were able to whip up in just two days. Well done! You can browse all entries on the BlenderNation forum.

Winner: Fire in Ice - Rogier

"With the help of Álvaro Carrillo González`s heated metal material shader..."

Rogier's burning ice model is a great combination of shaders and lighting. You've won the one month of CG Cookie Citizenship, Rogier! I'll contact you by email.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. Beautiful work! I've always wanted to enter one of these. Maybe next time. It's especially inspiring to see how young some of the contestants are. Sketchfat/Ian did an incredible job with texturing.
