Hi everybody, first post here.
Here's a little project I've been working on over the last week - blender/cycles, textures done in substance painter, procedural cloud shader from BlendSwap. All the other materials were built on CynicatPro's PBR shading series.
I really would love to render out a print version, but rendertimes are way too long (this was rendered via RayPump in 15 hours)...
Have fun!

Awesome and great work ! But if you have to create just single shot why did you don't try Gleb Alexandrov tip to
render clouds it reduce your render time too. Here is the links https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXeQ9TM-mh4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjZio6YTSPs .
Gosh I love this so much. I want it as a desktop wallpaper. :)
How many samples did you have to run on this? And as for your lighting, did you use HDRI or a lighting setup in Blender?
Thanks for the positive comments and blendernation for sharing my image :)
BANHU - I just preferred having actual geometry for simplicity's sake, so that the cloud got lit by the lightning
JOEL - the final image was rendered with 3000 samples, volumes can be very noisy :/ the scene was lit by an HDRI and one sun lamp
