Booking.com mascot designed for 3D printing in Blender

0

Metin Seven did a cool 3D printing design job on a new mascot for the Japanese branch of Booking.com.

Metin writes:

Fellow Dutch illustrator Bart Aalbers approached me to create a 3D model of his 2D character for Booking.com. This is the result, completely modeled in Blender and rendered using Cycles. It will be 3D-printed in Japan to become a statue with a height of 38 cm.

You can see more of Metin's work on his website.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
