Hey, just wanted to announce the release of my previously known wip cloud system.
You can create clouds from object shape. I also included a feature that allows you to draw cloud/smoke trails for still effects.You will be provided with many options in order to dynamically manipulate the way your cloud looks.

With this new and easy cloud generator you can finally get rid of Amazon Cloud, Microsoft Cloud and Google Cloud, replacing it with your own dynamically rendered clouds. I see, a big storm is coming.

It’s compatible with both, just that I noted you have to work with the shader yourself until I update the addon.
Will previewing the point density in cycles viewport work?
It works for both cycles and internal, just make sure you’re generating them when on the desired render engine. And it’s not based off point density.

Is animation in the plans at all?
What do you mean animation?
I keep getting an error message when drawing out a cloud with the grease pencil and does not creat a cloud but just the pencil line is visable. the error says something about ” = Surface ” tried in different versions of blender and get the same error( Using blender version 2.77 final now ). I’ve have had a similar error with another plugin but was able to fix by adjusting some settings in the grease pencil menu, but this does work with this plugin. The option to creat cloud from object works fine though.
