Paris Rooftop concerts with 2d and 3d animation

0

Motion designer Samy Tichadou created graphics and 3D animation for a French national TV project.

I want to post a project of concerts on Paris rooftops which i'm involved as motion designer. It's going to be broadcast on French national tv (France 4) in 2016, and for now, it's an immersive website which comes with the videos

The project has a graphical dimension, with drawing made by the Ici Nori and texts written by the French artist Nosfell. I animated that, and added some personal stuff and creation. There is some 3d (in the middle of the video) made and animated in blender of course (lily flower model is from mr peong's Blendswap, and the water shader is from right here, created by Akos Nikhazy, thanks to both !)

I'm very enthusiastic about this project, because it's so rare to see this kind of convergence between a graphical universe, and a live performance (even recorded) in france ! And on top of that, these are great bands: Hindi Zahra, Chapelier Fou, Isaac Delusion, Kid Wise, and Ibeyi !

This is a serie of 5 rooftop concerts, there are already 2 of them available on the website, and one is going to be released every wednesday in the next 3 weeks, so keep an eye !

I made all the intros, and the "interlude" more or less at the middle of the video. And you can see animations tracked in the concert all along, like every 30 to 50 seconds ! and for the video in the website, you have to scroll down at the end of the page, you have the video, and same for other band (you just have to click another band link at the bottom of the page).

This project was created by Sourdoreille, a French production company specialised in music content.

You can see my 3D work around 13:00:
