150 free Cycles shaders

Chocofur is sharing a whopping 150 shaders for Cycles including wood, concrete, marble, metals, PVC and fabrics.

Lechu writes:

Hey everyone!

To help improving your daily work in Blender and Cycles I've decided to share some stuff again. This time it's 150 free, texture based Cycles shaders that can be downloaded from after registering and logging in to your account.

From various wooden shaders to marble tiles, rusty steel or patterned fabric, I hope you'll be happy with our work! Each shader includes 4096 and 2048 px seamless texture. We've used chocofur shading nodes for creating our material library. For easier browsing, use the navigation bar in our store and then find corresponding shaders in the file browser in your chocofur account.

Looking forward to your feedback! Stay tuned for more Blender stuff coming soon.

  1. Thanks guys...
@Scooter: it is free or do u have to pay anything just because you have to register?
People like you make me sick, complaining and jammering is all you peopel can do.

  2. Registering and logging in is an irritant, but this sort of giveaway is in the true spirit of Blender. Thank you chocofur! Now we just need a nice easily-accessible Materials window built in to the Blender UI ;-)

  3. @BLACKDOT - that's some misunderstanding. We don't use any external site as the one you've pointed out in our user management system so it's really hard to tell why you had to disable it.

@SCOOTER, @REACTION - we had to move our assets to a more closed environment due to bandwidth issues caused probably by boots, killing it by constant, automatic download of our files. It started February this year.

    @JJJUHO, @MARIO, @PENGESZIKRA - thank you guys and enjoy :)

  4. I'm having some difficulty registering. The site seems to hang after entering Name, E-mail, and password in the register screen. The blue register button changes state when I click on it, but nothing happens.

I'm quite impressed by your site - lots of good Blender info!

  5. @LECHU wasnt a big hassle, but according to my NO-SCRIPT-addon you've got several sites embedded in yours:,, of course,,,, and . :)

  6. @BLACKDOT: the only things installed on site purposefully were google analytic and facebook / twitter linking. However, since we're using external CMS for both store and the main site, they may be linking to some external sources in the background. To be honest, I have no idea what sites like: would have to do with the content we're providing :)

@MODIN: I think it must be some default configuration issue. We didn't have any problems with Win10 + Chrome. Glad to hear it eventually worked for you with different browser.

@SCOTT H: after providing an e-mail address and password you should be able to log in instantly, even if the browser window wasn't refreshed etc.

  7. Wonderful gift, thanks!

And to all those complaining: please show some gratitude; people don't always take the time and money they could be making to give you something. The very least you could do is sign up.

  8. My problem (signing up) was due to a firewall setting. That's resolved.

There is a tremendous amount of valuable stuff on their site! From explanations of how to use the shaders, textures, and HDRIs, and scenes, to the files themselves. Thank You for making this available!

I have been experimenting with the Append and Linking to create my own library.

Thanks again for all the useful information!

    • Hey, shaders are still there when you log in to the chocofur account, we've only removed them from the store front since they're being adapted to the Eevee rendering engine.
