Blender Market: Bookmark View add-on

6

Bookmark view is a Blender Add-on that will save multiple positions of the 3d view and make it simple to switch back in an instant. "Don’t spend your day zooming, panning and rotating the view. Bookmark it like a boss."

What does it do?

Bookmark View will bookmark the view. OK, so what does that mean? Well, it will save the exact position of the viewport, so you can get back to that exact position with a click of a button. The idea is to save you the hassle of constantly navigating back to multiple awkward view position.

Features:

  • Add as many bookmarks as you need (or more than you need – it’s up to you!).
  • Delete bookmarks.
  • Replace a bookmark with the current view.
  • Reorder the bookmarks in the list.
  • Name each bookmark (or let BM View use it’s incremental naming convention).
  • Only changes the active 3d view.
  • Works in Quad mode.
  • Viewport shading option will also record/restore the shading mode (i.e. Wireframe, Solid, Rendered etc )

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. This functionality must be integrated in Blender itself and not as a add- on,(in my opinion)
also set the Camera to current view option also!!
also Motion Trail editable and layer managent system!
This are very importand functionalitys tools and must be integrated!(for fast workflow)
we have so many Good Add Ons we use and we lost the control of them!

    • Yeah, core integration of some of these useful addons would be nice. That way, we wouldn't have to worry about the addons needing to be updated between new versions of Blender (which, unfortunately, is the reason why I have several installations of Blender 2.6x and 2.7x on my computer).
