  1. Michael, this is a fine tutorial. Not only how to create wood texture but also using groups and in and outputs in the compositor. I think an CG artist is as a three star chef cook. Adding all kinds of ingrediënts together and in the end presenting a plate that knocks you over. Looking forward to see more. Even if I am just the dishwasher :)

    I am learning the basics of the Node tree in Blender and this Tut is simple and really well done. I learnt a lot here.

  3. This is fantastic... gave a lot of tips on putting a very classy shader together, not to mention a brilliant wood shader, always useful to have. I'm trying to do the same thing for seawater (not using the Ocean modifier) and hadn't thought of using ColorRamp. Need to explore these nodes more: this video has given a lot of insight into their behaviour. Well done!
