Ly29's GenericNote addon allows you to add notes to node editor windows. Looking at how complex some setups become, leaving notes to your future self is probably a good idea :)

Why is this just getting to BN now? This addon was made back in Nov of 2014. It is now somewhat out dated with text being able to display in frame nodes (v2.74 March of 2015) http://blender.stackexchange.com/a/32842/2217.
It's getting to BN now because, upon request yesterday to help me with a specific studio issue, Pablo directed my attention to the add-on and graciously made a video to show me how to install and use it - then presumably Bart posted the vid so it would help other people too - thanks Pablo and Bart!
Correct :)
Thanks for showing, it is nice to see my simple add on being used but really people should be using the frame with a textblock inside.
2.78a Not installing as an addon. While executed on text editor:

Try to install as an add on instead, and really, text frames are a better idea.
